I found these delights on the Colette website. They'll put a Spring in your step, even if it's still chilly outside.
But who is Charles Philip?
For several years, Milan-born designer Charles Philip has lived in
Shanghai’s French Concession with his best friend and partner Sheila
Pitigala. Together they create collections inspired by their favorite
elements: the ease of a Moroccan babush, the elegance of English
slippers, the freshness of linens or softness of striped cottons. The
shoes are hand-made using traditional technics and the finest fabrics.
He likes good fabrics and stripes, and I like what he does with both.

You'll never take my Liberty!
I grew up on an island, one of a group called The Isles of Scilly, located 28 miles off the very southwest tip of England. Wild and rugged but with white sandy beaches and a mild climate, so mild that plants I see here in Los Angeles grow there. One of the islands, Tresco, boasts a garden full of sub-tropical plants, artifacts from shipwrecks and other magical finds. It's a wonderful place to call Home.
These gardens are the inspiration for a collection of fabrics from Liberty of London this season, J Crew has even made a shirt from one of the prints.. I don't know what my Gran would have to say about that.
I think I feel a sewing project coming on.
