Actually I suppose if I were going to The Land of Oz there would be some red shoes in my bag but if I were headed Over The Rainbow as a witch (and therefore unable to wear the Ruby Slippers because some broad called Dorothy gets them) it's the Miu Miu FW13 collection I'd be shopping.
I've always been a fan of crazy tights and here's an eye-popping series of leg and footwear combo's that make my heart flutter.
The buttoned and zipped up formality of the black jackets and swishy dresses sits so perfectly against the girly neckerchieves at the top and the zinging legs and feet beneath. It's quite fantastic and fantastical.

No Saint Laurent
If he's watching, from wherever he might be now, I don't know what Yves must be thinking. Tom Ford's collection was more Yves Saint Laurent than Hedi Slimane's latest offering for The House. One can only think that he dropped the Yves upon starting his job there so that he wasn't exactly following in the maestro's footsteps. Because he ain't.
At least last season they looked like rich California witches with a great jacket and a cool hat, this season they're spoilt rich LA girls who are in to grunge (because it's so retro) and huffing gas. Courtney Love did it better the first time around and she was strung out.

My heart fluttered
I found these delights on the Colette website. They'll put a Spring in your step, even if it's still chilly outside.
But who is Charles Philip?
For several years, Milan-born designer Charles Philip has lived in Shanghai’s French Concession with his best friend and partner Sheila Pitigala. Together they create collections inspired by their favorite elements: the ease of a Moroccan babush, the elegance of English slippers, the freshness of linens or softness of striped cottons. The shoes are hand-made using traditional technics and the finest fabrics.
He likes good fabrics and stripes, and I like what he does with both.
